Ok so I'm a bit forgetful!!! I forgot to add this Wild & Crazy page to the last post. :)
Just Liz showing off her funny side.

Below you'll find two cards I did for Mother's Day. Figure I might as well post those for you also. The pots for the flowers are done with the ornament punch from Stampin' Up and the flowers are the wing from the bird punch.

Hope you enjoy!

Croppin Weekend

Hey Everyone! I wanted to share with you my latest creations. I went on a scrapbooking weekend retreat a couple of weekends ago. I actually accomplished a little bit this time. haha
I have a daughter graduating high school in a few weeks so I was trying to get some of her pages done. I knew I'd never get her books caught up but that's ok.
Here I did a page of her freshman homecoming. Her and some friends rented a limo.

This page happens to be a picnic we had in Mackinaw City at a park overlooking the bridge. The bridge and the clouds I cut out on my cricut with some svg files I found online.

These pics are ones that Liz took of herself. I need to add one more to the page yet but I loved the layout idea.

The pages below are with both daughters. One day they entertained themselves by having a contest bobbing for apples from their snow sleds. It amazes me how they would entertain themselves at times. Now that they are older they don't do that so well. hahaha!!!
The apple with the worm is an image I found online and cut it out with my cricut. I also cut the letters with the cricut.

I had so much fun at this crop. It is held in Hastings Michigan every spring and fall. If your interested in more details email me and I'll let you know. It's a great time to be pampered, work on your projects and enjoy friends.

Keep on scrappin!!!!

Look at my winnings!!

Ok so there is a scrapbooking store in my area called Scrap, Scribbles N Sticks. The were running a contest on facebook and giving away patterned papers. Check out the papers that I won for free!!! I can't wait to scrapbook with them!

I love these winter themed patterned papers.

These Valentines, heart and love patterns are awesome also.

Of course while I was there I just had to pick up some others that had caught my eye.

Also in the free stuff were some Puffies felt accessories.
I can't wait to use those papers and accessories in a couple weeks. I'm going scrapbooking all weekend with a couple of friends. I can't wait for some time to just sit and create!

New Technique using paper scraps!!!

Unless you're involved in needlepoint, you may not have heard of bargello, but chances are you've seen it! Bargello is a form of embroidery that is created through a series of upright flat stitches laid out in interesting patters. Bargello was trditionally stitches in wool on canvas, making it very durable and perfect for pillows, upholstery, and even carpet. But you can use bargello to create unique cards and paper projects that will deinitely leave your customers wowed!

Bargello is perfet for showing off Stampin' Up!'s fun Designer Series paper and a great way to use those strips of leftover paper that you don't want to throw away but don't know what to do with.

To create the beautiful patterns found on our Thanks So Much card and our Kind Thanks card, start out with our brand-new Nursery Suite Designer Series paper.

(The new Nursery Suite Designer series paper that's been used on these cardswill be available in the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog) (Tip: the bargello technique works best with striped papers).

1. Cut Designer Series paper into strips of varying width.

2. Align colors into desired pattern. Adherer to Whisper White card stock.

3. Using tabletop paper cutter, cut card stock into desired size.

4. Adhere bargello piece to card (or other project).

5. Step back and admire your work!

Croppin Weekend Retreat

Hey Stamper's!
Just thought I'd share some of my recent scrapbooking pages I made while at a weekend cropping event.
Below are some 6x6 pages that I made for these acrylic hanging frames for my girls.
The friends page was made using Stampin' Up!'s felt flower accents and the Sell-a-bration scallop punch.
The summer time page was made with punches and my cricut.
The blue and white pages were done with my Big Shot from Stampin' Up!

The 2 page 12x12 spread below is my youngest daughter at Binder Park Zoo. She did the face painting. Notice the tiger cut out...that I did with my Cricut. Then layered it up with white and green. Turned out pretty cool I think.

It was a great time! I plan on going again in September so I'd better get planning on what I want to work on. I'm sure its going to take me from now until then to get things all planned out!
Happy Stampin' & Scrapbookin'

Hi Stampers:

It has been brought to my attention with an announcement from SU! that the retiring colored cardstock is going quickly and will soon in not already be substituted with the textured cardstock in the upcoming days/weeks at no extra cost.

I'm not exactly sure when this replacement will take place.

Inkpads and reinkers are still available through May but may go into backorder status.

Beginning June 1st all retiring colors will be available while supplies last.

Go to my blog Kim's Creative Stamping to find links to the retiring colors and the new colors that are coming.

Rag Quilt Purse

Hey Everyone! I know you don't hear from me in forever and then twice in one night. I guess that's because I'm feeling caught up a little bit in life. Today I actually took some time for myself and made me a Rag Quilt Purse.

They are all the rage and you use the Big Shot die cutter to create the scalloped squares. It took me between 4-5 hours to complete my first one from start to finish. So not bad I guess.
Here's the actual purse:

These are sets of material that I have for more Rag Quilt Purses. These were fun and a pretty quick quilting project.

Baby Scrapbooking

A few weekends ago I went on a weekend cropping retreat. I worked on a baby album for my sister who is due any day. We know she's having a boy so that made doing the layout easy for colors.

I have not added pictures as of yet so you'll have to use your creative mind to see the pictures on there.

As you can see I used my cricut ALOT on these pages. Now we just need to get this baby to come into the world so we can get his pictures too.
Hope you enjoy these pages!

Club projects

Hey everyone!! I just thought I would share a few samples with you. They are from Stamp club... The first one the orange, blue & green one has a couple of techniques on it. The strips are done using a baby wipe and reinkers. You fold the baby wipe and put drops of reinker in a row and then swipe across the cardstock. If you were to stroke the baby wipe the other direction you would create a checkerboard pattern.
The cupcake top is embossed with irridescent ice EP & pumpkin pie craft ink.

Below are 3 cards from another club meeting. These 3 are using some of the new In-Colors. The teal card is also using a new stamp set and the yellow card is using a hostess stamp set.

The next couple of months as a club we'll be making Christmas cards. If your interested in joining us let me know. Your cost would be $15 to make the projects if your not a club memeber. The next club meeting is Sept. 22nd at 6:30pm. Be sure and contact me to sign up so I can have your projects ready.
Also don't forget about my all day crop in October. You can read more about that here
We are sure to have a great time so sign up soon because space is limited!
